The inspiration for the Travel Tea Bar came from the designers' desire to break free from the limitations of traditional tea drinking. They wanted to create a product that would eliminate the hassle of cleaning tea and cups while providing a portable and enjoyable tea experience. The result is a design that allows people to savor a cup of tea just as easily as they would enjoy instant noodles.

What sets the Travel Tea Bar apart from other tea products is its integration of modern technology with traditional techniques. The design incorporates cold extraction, stretching, and pressing to achieve its folding function, making it incredibly easy to carry and use. Another remarkable feature of the Travel Tea Bar is its commitment to sustainability. The product is made from recycled paper-based materials, ensuring easy secondary recovery and utilization. The realization of the Travel Tea Bar involves a combination of different materials and techniques. The folded structure is primarily made from recycled paper, which is easy to recover and recycle. The interior of the design utilizes expanded aluminum foil, bonded securely through a cooling process at the appropriate temperature. The tea itself is enclosed in food-grade nylon net, preserving the original taste and flavor. Every aspect of the design has been carefully considered to ensure a seamless and enjoyable tea-drinking experience.

The Travel Tea Bar has specific dimensions, with a height of 76 mm, bottom diameter of 38 mm, width of 60 mm, and a combined volume of 135 ml. These specifications have been meticulously crafted to provide the perfect balance between portability and functionality.

The design team, consisting of Wei Jingye, Zhao Yilin, Wang Junxiong, Jin Siyu, Li Tianning, Wang Ruilin, Li Gangchi, Xue Jiahui, Pan Meiru, and Zhang Ruiqi, worked tirelessly to overcome various challenges during the development of the Travel Tea Bar. One of the main hurdles was ensuring the structural rationality and the ability to recover the materials for recycling.

Operating the Travel Tea Bar is a breeze. Simply open the package, pour hot or cold water into it, wait a few minutes, and voila! You can now enjoy your tea anywhere, whether you're at the office, on a hike, or traveling abroad.

The Travel Tea Bar project began in December 2017 in Shenyang and was completed in January 2018. The design is expected to be exhibited at the Art Museum of the LuXun Academy of Fine Arts in Shenyang in the near future.

This exceptional design has been recognized for its ingenuity and creativity, earning the Travel Tea Bar the Bronze A' Design Award in the Packaging Design category in 2018.
